Before leaving Lazio and Rome we decided to stop over in Gaeta for a nice lunch by the sea.
The port of Gaeta is quite cute even if it a classical tourist destination. Most probably in summer Gaeta should be avoided considering the number of people visiting and staying in the town.

We had a lovely lunch in the restaurant la Salute in Gaeta. The fish was fresh and portions really generous.
The price paid reflects the top location and the quality of the fish. Definitely recommended .
The port of Gaeta: Small and pretty
Gaeta is a seaside town with a nice port and average beaches (but wide)
